Cajey's Fogón

It is a Food Service Initiative that seeks to counter food insecurity in our immediate community. It directly serves the population that faces life realities that lead them to experience hunger and malnutrition. Between 2019-2021, we served around 4,792 plates of hot food, directly contributing to 55 families in our community.

In 2022, thanks to the support of the Bravo Family Foundation, we collaborate with recovery efforts following the effects of Hurricane Fiona in Las Vegas by distributing family purchases, basic necessities, among others. We also activated our community laundry so that those families who do not have access to energy and water in times of emergency can wash and dry their clothes.

Family Farms

Our goal is to be able to make the products of the Cajey Solidarity Company and the foods of El Fogón with raw materials from nearby family farms. In this way, the exchange connection is created while raising awareness of the importance of planting and about Food Security. With this initiative, we share knowledge, harvests and distribute food so that no one goes without food. Since June 2023 we began collaborating on the Monte Rosa LLC farm of Rosa María International Cuisine in the Monticello de Cidra Sector where we have planted pumpkins, yautia and bananas, the main ingredients of our cakes. We will continue to develop this Farm to become self-sustainable and obtain a product 100% made in Puerto Rico with the best quality and flavor. If you are interested in collaborating with us on this agricultural project, write to us at lacomunacajeyinc@gmail.com

Caring for the environment is fundamental in every initiative we carry out. It is for this reason that we apply our knowledge and common sense to promote this green construction initiative that significantly impacts the problems of mismanagement of glass bottles and waste in homes.
